The key fob for my ford fiesta flame works fine for locking and unlocking the doors but won't unlock the boot and the boot release button inside the car doesn't work either. It's been looked over by mechanics a few times now and they're stumped. They've changed the battery in the fob and replaced the boot cable but it nothing seems to be working.
Mar 31, 2019 路 The dash trim just has 3 screws at the top and then pulls out, no guide needed. Yeah, check continuity through the switch in the on position first. Next test would be checking for voltage at the switch plug, and then at the solenoid when pressing the button. Quote.

When driving the car, the dashboard light indicating an open door stays on. Also the interior light may stay on when the switch is in the central position (but I need to double check that)

Once the keyless entry system shuts down (to save the battery power) you need to get the battery voltage back up to at least 13.2V (fully charged is 13.6V) and then cycle the ignition (take the car for a five minute drive) park up and lock the doors. Options. turn key from 0 to ignition 4 times in quick succession, hear a beep, hold any button on the remote for 5 seconds and your should hear another beep, that's the key programmed, if you have more than one remote press the next remote in quick succession after the first one, they hold up to 4 remotes on memory.
